The Virgen de Guadalupe, milagros, sacred hearts and images are all artistic motifs used in Mexican folk art in every state in Mexico.
The Christmas decorations of Mexico vary by region but are always colorful and festive whether made of tin, paper, wood, textiles or clay.
"Milagro"means "miracle" in Spanish. Milagros are religious charms that are prevalent throughout Mexico and are used to request or thank God for a miracle.

A beautiful, large pair of Mazahua earrings from the state of Mexico. Handmade with either a bright silver finish or a lovely patina that makes the earring look old. They feature an ear wire attached to a flower then attached to a swinging crescent shape filled with filagree and a small pair of lovebirds at the top. The bottom is decorated with either tiny black beads and a silver drop or white seed pearls. A single flower is in the center of the arracada. Very beautiful and striking.
